Whether you’re an avid oenophile, wine collector or sommelier, join us for monthly tastings, wine dinners and discussions on the finest wines from around the world. Expand your palate and mingle with fellow wine aficionados in relaxed and social settings in some of the finest locales in Naples to include Wine Spectator Award restaurants as well as the homes and cellars of our membership. The Eighteenth gathering of Gentlemen Wine Snobs took place in June, 2026 at a member’s private home and included an illustrious assortment of over 24 Costco branded wines pictured below. In addition, our member host graciously provided a classic Costco Lasagna dinner along with a new member’s gift of a 1997 Sauterne to pair with Costco Chocolate Cake.
Our next gathering is scheduled at one of our member’s private homes in Naples.

With high season behind us, our group will continue its shift toward wine dinners hosted in private member homes. Last month Ken showcased his awesome collection of Costco branded wines from around the world and carried that theme into our dinner.
This July, Joe H, as host, invites you to his home for a special deep dive vertical tasting of Alpha Omega ERA wines from renown winemaker and friend Jean Hoefliger who was the founding winemaker 2006-2019. The ERA series from AO is their flagship ultra premium offering.
Wine AND Dinner is complimentary from your host.

Wine Requirements
Style: Joe will organize 9 AO ERA wines for a focused vertical tasting.
Origin: Napa Valley USA
Red: Cabernet Blend
Your mission:
Be prepared to discuss the wine, in a tasting format. We’ll discuss broadly – winery and winemaker including as many of the wines vitals as possible to include terroir specifics, vinification notes, blend dynamics and maturation choices. Winemaker notes and potential video will be shared.
