Let’s uncork, unwind, and explore the wonderful world of wine together. Cheers!
Our inaugural gathering (Tuesday January 14th, 2025 at 6:30pm) is contingent upon member signups as we soft launch the group. Tell a fellow oenophile, collector and/or wine snob about this group! Location is Shula’s Steakhouse Naples. A gorgeous traditional wood and leather decor, this is typically a quiet and private dining room perfect for enjoying wine centric meals. RSVP by email: gentlemenWineSnobs@exceptional-wine-experiences.com along with your contribution to our Corkage Fund (pay below). Food and Beverage at your own cost due and payable to our server at conclusion of gathering.

Group members are encouraged to bring a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from their choice of place and vintage.
A bottle of 2012 Cardinal from The Farm, a winery located in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, CA will be one of the bottles served and discussed.
The Farm’s winemaker, Santiago Achaval, is a renown Argentinian winemaker and owner of Achával-Ferrer wines. Santiago has been recognized as one of the world leaders in winemaking by Wine Spectator and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. His wines consistently score in the high 90’s.
Bio:
Santiago Achával, winemaker and founder of Matervini winery, first felt attracted to the wine world in 1988/89, when travelling with friends in Napa Valley. At the time, he was studying at Stanford University where got his MBA.
Santiago was born in Rochester, Minnesota, U.S.A. When he was six years old, his family moved to Córdoba, Argentina, where he lived until he went to the US to study.
Back in Argentina, he decided to use the knowledge and experienced acquired to start his own business project.
He started his career as a winemaker and founded the winery Achával- Ferrer together with Manuel Ferrer and Roberto Cipresso in 1988. In only a few years their winery became well known throughout the world.
Together with the Madsen family, in 2009 Santiago Achával started a new project in Paso Robles, California: The Farm Winery.
Achával, a pioneer in old-vine Malbec wines in Argentina, joined Cipresso again in 2008 to start the Matervini project.
Santiago also works on other wine related projects as a consultant, making his knowledge and experience available to others.

Corkage Fund – The Extraordinary League of Gentlemen Wine Snobs
As a Gentleman Wine Snob of this group sharing of gorgeous wines is strongly encouraged. Our goal is to offset the corkage fees incurred when visiting Naples finest wine establishments especially for those sharing their prize vintage (pre-2000) or high dollar ($300+ market value) wines. When a member shares these Extraordinary Wines we do not wish them to also pay a corkage fee given their generosity to the group. The corkage fund is therefore highly appreciated of those Gentlemen attending who do not choose to bring a bottle of Extraordinary Wine. *Billed under Beverly Hills Wine Club. *The Extraordinary League of Gentlemen Wine Snobs, Beverly Hills Wine Club, For The Love of Wine – Proprietor Jason Michael Pate email: gentlemenWineSnobs@exceptional-wine-experiences.com phone: 310-497-3332
