The Twelfth gathering of Gentlemen Wine Snobs took place at The Warren – Naples in Naples and included an illustrious assortment of gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon wines from both Bordeaux (2000 Chateau Margaux) and Napa (2014 Scarecrow, Alpha Omega, Vine Hill Ranch and more) . The Gents continued the evening with a delicious and decadent dinner at the chef’s table of this award winning restaurant in Naples.

Our next gathering is scheduled at one of our member’s private home in Pelican Bay.

Gents,

As high season approaches, our group will shift toward wine-pairing–focused dinners hosted in private member homes. January will kick off at my home, followed by February at Alvin’s, March at Joe H.’s, and April at… [your name here]?

I grew up in Dearborn, Michigan—home to one of the largest Arab communities in the U.S.—and was fortunate to be exposed to truly exceptional Lebanese cuisine. While Naples isn’t exactly known for its breadth of ethnic dining options (Italian aside), I’ve found Kareem’s in East Naples to be a standout for authentic Lebanese dishes.

This January, I invite you to my home in Pelican Bay for a wine-pairing dinner featuring Lebanese cuisine, catered by Kareem’s. Dinner is complimentary from your host.

What to Bring
Each gent is asked to bring a gorgeous bottle to share and discuss—aligned with this month’s pairing theme: Mediterranean (Lebanese) cuisine. Think lamb, beef, chicken, rice, hummus, tabouli, and the warm spices and aromatics that define the region.

Wine Requirements

• Style: Rhône varietal or blend
• Origin: France’s Côtes du Rhône
• White: Minimum market value $95+, vintage 2022 or older
• Red: Minimum market value $150+, vintage 2019 or older
