The Sixteenth gathering of Gentlemen Wine Snobs took place April 28th, 2026 at a member’s private home in Pelican Bay Naples and included an illustrious assortment of gorgeous wines pictured below. Our member host graciously provided a wonderful Espresso Rubbed Tri-Tip dinner while attending Gents provided delicious sides like baked beans, mac n cheese, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, rosemary potatoes and shrimp.

Our next gathering is scheduled at one of our member’s private homes in Naples.

Gents,

As high season begins to wain, our group will continue its shift toward wine dinners hosted in private member homes. January kicked off at my home with a Lebanese Food and Wine Pairing, followed by February BBQ at Alvin’s, March was Merlot at David’s office. April followed with Tri-Tip Steak Bar B Q back in Pelican Bay.

This May, Joe G, as host, invites you to his home for a Killer Cali Cab and Steak Dinner.  Dinner is complimentary from your host.

What to Bring
Each gent is asked to bring a gorgeous bottle to share and discuss—aligned with this month’s theme: Killer Cabs from California 

Wine Requirements

Style:  Cabernet Sauvignon Wine 75% or more if blend.  Single Vineyard encouraged.

Origin: California

Red: Minimum market value $200+, vintage 2018 or older

Your mission:  

Find the best Cabernet Sauvignon wine in California!  Consider this a true exercise in terroir.  Be mindful of varietal composition/blend, vintage and $ minimum.  Be prepared to discuss the wine, winery and winemaker including as many of your wines vitals as possible to include terroir specifics, vinification notes, blend dynamics and maturation choices.3
